7.6 Small radii of profile curvature magnify the contact stress.
7.7 Concave radii of profile curvature in a rise motion segment cause an angular retardation of the roller about its centre!
7.8 The result of undercutting can be demonstrated by the combination of reducing the prime circle radius excessively and increasing the roller radius to obtain a very small minimum radius of convex curvature of the pitch curve [expect this to be near the nose] which generates a dovetail-shaped loop in the profile itself.
